Starbucks Is Offering New Ways To Enjoy Its Boba-Like Flavor Pearls

6

Starbucks has been experimenting with new drink options, including boba-like inclusions in its 2024 summer menu. The company launched boba-inspired popping pearls as part of the Summer-Berry Refreshers lineup, adding a sourness to sweet fruit drinks. This success has inspired Starbucks to expand the options for ordering these pearls. The three iced drinks promoted with the boba-like pearls include the Iced Green Tea Lemonade, Iced Peach Green Tea, and regular Starbucks Lemonade.

The three iced drinks are not new creations but suggestions of great pairings with the permanent raspberry popping pearls. The Iced Green Tea Lemonade and Iced Peach Green Tea both feature mint, lemongrass, and lemon verbena flavors, complemented by a pop of fruity sweetness from the raspberry pearls. Adding them to the Lemonade creates a fun textural variation on a classic pink lemonade.

These pearls are available for a limited time in the U.S., but they can be added to any iced drink, including old favorites like the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, the newly unveiled Starbucks Iced Energy drinks, and even on Cold Brew coffees. The addition of the pearls costs extra and will set you back around $1.25 on top of the drink’s price.
