South Australian AeroPress Championship back for 2025 – BeanScene
The South Australian AeroPress Championship 2025 returns on 4 July and will be held at Patio Coffee Roasters in Richmond.
This year’s Championships will see 24 local participants compete to create the “ultimate cup” of coffee using the AeroPress coffee maker. The South Australia round is part of a global competition circuit leading up to the World AeroPress Championship (WAC), which will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from the 5 to 6 December 2025.
The WAC aims to build community, make friends, and celebrate the joy of coffee in an open, inclusive, and fun environment.
“Patio is beyond excited to host the SA AeroPress Championship,” says Basil Papas, Founding Director of Patio Coffee Roasters.
The AeroPress was invented in 2005 by retired Stanford University engineering instructor Alan Adler. Adler’s mission was to create an efficient way to brew a single cup of coffee.
