Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is modernizing its operational technology by consolidating its franchise system onto a single platform designed by PAR Technology. This integration encompasses key functions such as point of sale, ordering, payments, loyalty programs, labor management, and inventory control, facilitating a smoother expansion into new states and operational formats.

The new system eliminates the need for franchisees to manage separate tools for POS, loyalty, and ordering at each location. With the streamlined setup, sales data collected at the front counter seamlessly updates back-office labor and inventory systems. Additionally, customers can earn and redeem rewards effortlessly across different ordering channels, including in-store, drive-thru, and mobile applications.

According to Tom Wylie, president of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, the selection of PAR Technology as their tech partner was strategic, providing franchisees with a cohesive platform that simplifies operations and data management. This united approach allows for brand scaling without burdening franchisees with the complexities of multiple systems.

Established in 1989 in Hawaii’s Big Island, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, owned by Royal Aloha Franchise Co., operates over 48 franchise locations across the U.S., with plans for over 100 additional outlets. The company’s diverse menu features Hawaiian and international coffees, blended beverages, teas, food items, and branded merchandise. Furthermore, the brand aims to extend its market presence by introducing its coffee products into grocery stores, hospitality settings, and specialty retail markets.
