GCR Leaders Symposium returns to MICE 2027 – BeanScene
The Global Coffee Report (GCR) Leaders Symposium will return to the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) on 5 March 2027, bringing together industry experts, business leaders, roasters, and café operators to discuss the key issues shaping the future of coffee.
Held from 8am to 11:30am on the second day of MICE, the symposium will explore topics including artificial intelligence (AI), coffee pricing and market dynamics, profitability strategies, and opportunities for business growth across the coffee value chain. A keynote speaker will be announced ahead of the event.
GCR Publisher and symposium host Sarah Baker says the event is designed to provide coffee professionals with insights and connections that can support business success in a rapidly evolving industry.
“The event is the perfect platform for knowledge sharing, learning, discussion and networking,” Sarah says.
“We saw a sold event at MICE2026 and next year we hope even more people join the morning event in what will be the perfect way to start day two of MICE and make the most of the annual industry gathering.”
Symposium tickets include three-day access to MICE, taking place from 4 to 6 March 2027, as well as entry to MICE at Night, the expo’s evening networking program.
Attendees will also have access to the MICE exhibition floor, Café Education sessions, the Trip to Origin stage, and a range of networking opportunities throughout the event.
“We will be talking big-picture items including AI and the new economics of coffee, the future of coffee, managing profitability strategies and growth targets and hear from our soon-to-be-announced keynote speaker,” Sarah says.
