First Ever WCC Judge Skills Program in the United States – CoffeeTalk

Two esteemed World Coffee Championship Representatives will be leading the first-ever World Coffee Championship Judge Skills Program in the US. The trainings will take place at Carrboro Coffee Roasters in North Carolina August 14 – 17, 2026.

The WCC JSP introduces participants to the judging process, scoring systems, competition rules and evaluation methods used across the World Coffee Championships. It is the ideal first step for anyone who wants to judge more consistently, prepare to compete more strategically, or coach competitors with greater comprehension.

Roukiat Delrue “Rouki” has been a Certified WBC Judge and Head Judge since 2008, and is currently certified for WBC, WLAC and WCRC and WBrC.

☕️ Sebastian De Rodt “Seb” started his judge certification journey in 2012 and has been a WCC Rep since 2018. Seb is a Judge Operations Lead for the World Latte Art Championship.

They will be supported by Scott Conary, WCC Rep & a Judge Operations Lead for the World Barista Championship. Living in the United States, Scott has been a WCC Judge since 2005 and is also a SCA Q Instructor and CVA Trainer / Ambassador, & a Head Judge (QC) and Instructor for the Alliance for Coffee Excellence’s Program since 2015.
