San Cristobal Coffee Importers Strengthens Direct Relationships Across Mexico, Ethiopia and Peru – CoffeeTalk

San Cristobal Coffee Importers continues to build on its vertically integrated model this year, with direct relationships spanning Mexico, Ethiopia, and Peru.

In Mexico, coffees from Grupo Terruño Nayarita have earned the prestigious “Denominación de Origen” certification from the state government, with GTN selected by a regional committee to help vet all Nayarit coffees against our rigorous quality standards, a recognition of the on-the-ground work we have put into this region for years.

In Ethiopia, San Cristobal’s partnership with ASIKANA farmers has grown steadily over six years, producing Smithsonian Bird Friendly Certified Organic coffees that reflect the our long-term, relationship-first approach.

Their newest origin—direct imports from the farmers of COOPAGRY in Junín, Peru—is now in its third year and gaining traction with roasters looking for coffees backed by real traceability, not just a good story on a spec sheet.

Across their three origins, producer communities have been trained on FincaLab equipment, part of San Cristobal’s ongoing investment in quality management at the farm level.

“Our environmental preservation work continues to grow, and as it evolves, more of our team is stepping up to help guide where we go next,” said James Kosalos, President of San Cristobal Coffee Importers. “We’re also actively seeking investors to support that growth.”

For San Cristobal, this isn’t about sourcing top lots, it’s about building relationships that add value at every step of the supply chain, from the farm to the roaster’s drum.
