KFC Australia branches out into hot coffee – BeanScene

Following a successful trial at Sydney Airport, KFC Australia will gradually launch a new breakfast menu – including a hot coffee offering – across the country.

Following in the footsteps of other fast-food chains such as McDonald’s, Subway, and Hungry Jack’s, as part of the new rollout selected KFC venues will offer a range of hot beverages including cappuccinos, flat whites, lattes, and black tea.

The breakfast menu, named Morning Meals, capitalises on the country’s appetite for brekkie dishes and is said to feature wraps, toasties, rolls, and hot and iced coffee options alongside KFC specials such as the Original Crispy Brekkie Tower and Zinger Brekkie Tower.

“The response [to the trial] has shown there’s a real appetite for KFC-inspired morning moments, with fans embracing new ways to enjoy their favourite chicken all throughout the day,” a KFC representative told nine.com.au.

In February, McDonald’s offshoot McCafé announced 500 stores in Queensland and Victoria would be part of a global trial of new signature drinks.
