Five cafés around Australia – alongside a host of coffee-serving bars, restaurants, and day-night venues – have been recognised in the nominations of the Australian Interior Design Awards, with the final winner to be named at gala presentation dinner on 12 June.

Melbourne’s Baker Bleu Cremorne (IF Architecture), Foster & Black’ Melbourne Central location (Bergman and Co), Adelaide’s Reno’s (RADS), Cronulla’s (Pilgrims), and Veneziano Coffee Roasters’ Perth training studio are among this year’s 41 Hospitality Design nominees.

Overall, this year’s awards consist of 226 nominees over seven categories.

Cafés to be nominated for the Hospitality Design Award in previous years include, but are not limited to, Alexander & CO. for Genovese Coffee House in 2022, Zwei Interiors Architecture for Code Black Coffee in 2013, Collectivus for Blacklist Coffee Roasters in 2024, and Chris Connell Design for Heide Café in 2010.
