Zuspresso Sdn is set to expand across Southeast Asia this year, opening nearly 200 new ZUS Coffee stores. The company will add 107 new outlets in Malaysia and 80 in the Philippines, establish six more locations in Singapore, and launch its first stores in Thailand and Indonesia. ZUS Coffee has already become Malaysia’s largest coffee chain, operating 743 domestically compared to Starbucks’ 320. Beyond Malaysia, the chain operates 120 stores in the Philippines, supported by investment from Filipino billionaire Frank Lao, and four locations in Singapore. The company’s success is partly due to its tailor-made flavors that appeal to local tastes. The chain’s net income tripled to RM37 million ringgit in 2024. ZUS started as a kiosk focused on coffee delivery via its own app in late 2019, and its core approach is to make quality coffee accessible to most people.
