Starbucks has announced plans to relocate some corporate jobs from Seattle as it expands its operations to Nashville, Tennessee. Specifically, jobs associated with direct and indirect sourcing operations within its supply chain will be affected. However, Seattle will maintain its status as the North America and Global Support headquarters. The company is considering moving additional teams and roles to Nashville in the future.

This expansion was confirmed by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, with the new corporate office set to open later this year in Nashville. Employees in Seattle whose roles are impacted by the move will allegedly have the option to relocate.

As the plans unfold, further information regarding the new office will be released in the coming months. Deputy Governor Stuart McWhorter expressed enthusiasm for Starbucks’ decision, indicating that such investments bolster Tennessee’s reputation as a prime location for corporate growth while providing well-paying jobs for its workforce.
