The Frazy Bot is a coffee- and cocktail-making machine that will retail for $7,000 and be available for lease at $99 a month. The prototype, which was about three times the size of the final product, was shown at CES 2025. Frazy founder Balaji Krishnan said the company is learning from feedback and is working on improving the machine’s efficiency.

The Frazy Bot produces complex coffee recipes tailored to individual tastes, such as Jeff’s caramel frappuccino. To make it, users scan a QR code on the box and pour ingredients into the appropriate spots, including whole milk and a chocolate drizzle. The coffee produced comes from premeasured ingredient kits designed to meet specific needs.

The machine took some time to warm up before spitting coffee into the cup, and with the help of a human Frazy rep, it moved over to the area where the chocolate drizzle happened. The machine also included a coffee elevator for lifting the drink close to the dispenser.

The goal of the Frazy Bot is to replicate an exact drink by premeasuring and standardizing all ingredients. Customers can order a box of ingredients in the exact ratios they want, and customization is the end goal. However, this customization is not as flexible, as premeasured ingredients can make it difficult to change drinks on the fly, especially for lactose-intolerant guests.

In summary, the Frazy Bot is a high-tech coffee-making machine that aims to provide personalized drinks by premeasuring and standardizing ingredients. While the prototype may not be the most efficient way to make coffee, the company is working on improving its efficiency and flexibility.
