The Colombian Government and the National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC) have officially signed a five-month extension of the administration contract for the Coffee Price Stabilization Fund (FEPCafé). This agreement follows a recent extension for the administration of the National Coffee Fund (FoNC), concluded on July 2. The contract renewal emphasizes ongoing support for 556,000 coffee-growing families across 23 departments and 611 municipalities in Colombia.

Established under Law 1969 of 2019, FEPCafé is exclusively administered by the FNC. As part of the funding mechanism, coffee growers contribute USD $0.005 per pound of coffee exported, which financially supports the stabilization fund. Currently, the fund has approximately COP350 billion Colombian pesos, equivalent to about $106.06 million, aimed at stabilizing coffee prices and ensuring economic security for the coffee-growing sector.
