Brazil Sees 9.9% Increase in Coffee Exports at Start of New Harvest Season – CoffeeTalk

Brazil’s coffee exports reached 3.03 million 60-kilogram bags in July, reflecting a 9.9% increase from July 2025, as reported in a monthly statistical report by Safras, a partner of TV BRICS. This period marks the beginning of the 2026/27 coffee season, which spans from July to June. The export revenue generated in July amounted to US$903.9 million. Over the first seven months of 2026, Brazil exported a total of 20.897 million bags of coffee, resulting in revenue of US$7.449 billion. However, when compared to the same timeframe in 2025, the total shipments have decreased by 5.9%, and the revenue has fallen by 13.1%.

A significant part of the success in July’s exports can be attributed to conilon coffee, with shipments totaling 851,235 bags, indicating an impressive increase of 84.4% from the same month in the previous year. Cumulatively, exports of this coffee variety from January to July 2026 reached 3.387 million bags, marking a substantial year-on-year rise of 73.5%.

Throughout the first seven months of the year, Arabica coffee maintained its position as the predominant type exported from Brazil, constituting 14.987 million bags or 71.7% of the total shipments. As the harvest of Coffea canephora, which includes both conilon and robusta, approaches its final stages, only a small volume of coffee remains to be collected. This late-stage harvest is anticipated to facilitate ongoing coffee exports in the new season. Experts have highlighted that the conilon and robusta crop has performed well overall, especially regarding quality.
