Gloria Jean’s revamp strategy showing promise – BeanScene
The parent company of café chain Gloria Jean’s, Retail Food Group, has revealed its decision to “uplift” locations around Australia is working, according to its recently released financial year 2026 investor presentation and reporting.
The ‘Glorange’ strategy, which has redesigned the stores to fit colour psychology, was first announced in November 2025. Since then, nine existing locations have been upgraded, with one further location being built to the uplifted standards.
Retail Food Group has reported that stores trading under the refreshed format generated average weekly sales 19 per cent higher than the prior comparable period during their first eight weeks following refurbishment.
Alongside the store redesigns the uplift scheme also includes a simplified menu and beverage offering, which includes “streamlined” personalisation options, clearer pricing structures, and a new toastie range.
The reporting also states there were more than nine million customer visits to Gloria Jean’s locations across FY26.
Five additional stores have already been approved for refurbishment in the first half of FY27.
