The Bean Cartel launches decaf blend
Melbourne specialty roaster The Bean Cartel has released its first decaf blend in eye-catching packaging to match the rest of its collection.
In a statement, the company said “great coffee doesn’t always need caffeine”.
The decaf blend features notes of red wine and berry sweetness upfront, moving onto a creamy hazelnut body and dark chocolate finish. It’s described as a “wonderfully balanced” coffee with versatility in both black and milk serves.
“Most people don’t put a lot of effort into decaf because they say it’s just decaf,” says Stacy Visser, Owner of The Bean Cartel.
“We, however, put a lot of effort into decaf, and we make it taste just like some of our regular blends – we wanted to give it some more respect.”
The blend is available in 500 gram bags via The Bean Cartel website.
Earlier this year, the specialty roaster picked up eight medals at the Golden Bean Australasia awards, including Gold in the Milk category for Dr Chan’s Seasonal blend.
