Renton-based Boon Boona Coffee, an East African coffee roaster, has secured a deal to sell its Bereka Blend in eight Costco locations in the Puget Sound area. This expansion marks another significant milestone for the company, which already distributes its products in approximately 150 regional grocery stores and has recently won a bid to establish a cafe at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The coffee will be offered in two-pound bags at Costcos situated in Seattle, Tukwila, Kirkland, Shoreline, Issaquah, Covington, Lynnwood, and Redmond. Efrem Fesaha, the CEO and founder of Boon Boona Coffee, expressed appreciation for the competitive opportunity to partner with Costco, noting that in-store demo trials featuring samples of their coffee have been conducted throughout 2026. Additionally, Boon Boona Coffee operates five locations in the Seattle area, including one in the iconic Pike Place Market.
