RoadRunners, a drive-thru coffee shop in Cypress, Texas, claims to be the fastest drive-thru in the world. The drive-thru is known for its commitment to speed and quality, with founder and CEO Jonathan Kay promising that customers will have their drink delivered within 60 seconds or free if they don’t. If it’s four to six drinks, they guarantee delivery in 90 seconds.

Sand timers are a key part of the experience, with customers being able to walk away with a free drink if the time runs out before their drink is out. This happens about twice a week, usually a milkshake, but only about 0.5 percent of the time. The menu includes iced lattes, matcha, or milkshakes, and Kay emphasizes that speed doesn’t compromise quality.

Customers have been enthusiastic about the concept, with one customer stating that they love the concept and another stating that they can get their drink out within 15 seconds after paying. In just three months, RoadRunners has managed a perfect Google rating with over a thousand mostly 5-star reviews.

How they manage to deliver up to three drinks in under a minute from 6 a.m. to midnight remains a mystery to customers, but Kay is not divulging any speed state secrets. Two new locations are already in the works for next year.
