NEXE Innovations, a leading provider of compostable materials, has delivered three Biodegradable Products Institute-certified compostable coffee pods to EKOCUPS, an online retailer and Amazon seller in the US. The delivery of the pods is a response to the growing demand for eco-friendly coffee options. The NEXE pods have patented features, such as an enlarged filter area, allowing for greater volume per pod and improved coffee extraction. Internal tests show that the NEXE pod’s total dissolved solids are up to 20% higher than other leading brands. NEXE Innovations has made significant progress in the compostable coffee pod market, with 80% of the 25 largest consumer packaged goods companies pledging to use fully recyclable or compostable packaging by 2030. The company has shifted to a vertically integrated strategy targeting B2B customers over the past two years.
