New Museum Exhibition Celebrates Italy's Coffee Legacy – CoffeeTalk
Moka pot coffee makers are a constant in historian Emily Conklin’s life, producing rich, nearly espresso-level coffee. The Bialetti cappuccino maker, a specialty, percolates coffee and heats and steamed milk in a special chamber. The design world’s love affair with espresso is being told by curator Elisabetta Pisu in her new exhibition, Passione Italiana: l’Arte dell’espresso, at the Santos Coffee Museum in Santos, Brazil. The exhibition follows two “nuclei”: a historical exhibition itinerary connecting work and collaborations between coffee growers, roasters, and creatives, and a section focusing on the social and culture meanings behind coffee rituals.
