Lavazza Partners with Adyen to Create Unified Global Digital Payments Platform – CoffeeTalk

Adyen, a leading global FinTech payments platform, has entered a new partnership with Lavazza, the renowned coffee brand, aimed at unifying Lavazza’s digital payments operations across various international markets. This collaboration seeks to bolster both B2B and B2C e-commerce and retail efforts, reflecting the growing demand for streamlined digital payment solutions in the sector.

Currently operational in three markets, the partnership supports B2B transactions in the United States and direct-to-consumer channels in the United Kingdom and Australia. Plans are in place for a more extensive launch across seven additional markets throughout 2026 and into 2027.

The initiative is set to alleviate the challenges associated with managing multiple payment methods across different regions, thus enhancing security and creating a scalable foundation for further global expansion. Specifically for B2C operations, Italy is slated to implement its payment systems in the latter half of this year, followed by rollouts in the United States and Germany before the end of 2026. Additionally, B2B channel launches are expected in Australia, the UK, France, and Denmark in the fourth quarter, with future expansions planned for Germany and France in 2027.

Adyen’s platform is characterized by its comprehensive payments infrastructure, offering integrated data insights and financial products within a single solution, which is particularly attractive to major companies such as Meta, Uber, H&M, eBay, and Microsoft. This cohesion enables merchants to scale efficiently across borders without the need to reconstruct their payment frameworks at each phase of growth.

Roelant Prins, Adyen’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the advantage of a unified platform, stating, “The true benefit of a unified platform isn’t just processing transactions; it’s seeing the whole picture.” He highlighted that by merging its retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels on a global scale, Lavazza can transform fragmented data into actionable commercial insights. The planned phased rollout illustrates a strategic approach that allows Lavazza to evolve consistently while ensuring operational continuity across multiple channels and touchpoints.
