India Crowns National Latte Art Champion Who Will Go On To Compete In World Championship In Geneva Next Year – CoffeeTalk
The National Latte Art Championship (NLAC) 2025, organized by Kaapi Machines under the leadership of the Coffee Board of India and World Coffee Events, concluded at the India International Coffee Festival in Bengaluru. The competition, which showcased the talent and passion of India’s top baristas, was held in October-November 2024. The competition evaluated participants’ ability to create matching free-pour lattes, macchiatos, and designer latte arts. Judges comprised of coffee experts from across the country who operate their own roasteries and cafes. Mohammad Afsar, the winner, from Roastery Coffee House, demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity in crafting exquisite latte art designs. As the winner, he will represent India at the World Latte Art Championship in Geneva, Switzerland, scheduled for June 2025. Abhinav Mathur, Managing Director of Kaapi Machines, expressed his pride in the initiative and the rising level of talent in India. The championship is a testament to Kaapi Machines’ commitment to recognizing and appreciating baristas’ exceptional talent.
