Caribou Coffee Appoints Scott Kennedy As Permanent CEO – CoffeeTalk

Caribou Coffee has appointed Scott Kennedy as its permanent CEO after a six-month interim period. Kennedy, who previously served as CFO, succeeds John Butcher, who stepped down on March 14. Kennedy has been with the coffee chain since 2019, having previously held leadership positions at Target and KPMG. Under Kennedy, the company plans to continue its growth, opening its first standalone Texas unit in June and expanding into the Southeast, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The chain currently has over 800 units worldwide. Under Kennedy, the company sees tremendous opportunities to accelerate growth, expand its reach, and continue elevating what makes Caribou unique.
