An Important Step in Sustainability: Paulig Introduces the First Easy-Open Recyclable Vacuum Packaging for Coffee

Paulig is investing in new packaging lines at CarbonNeutral® certified Vuosaari Roastery, with one third of 500-gram coffee packaging units produced on a new line starting this spring. The new packaging is easy to open without scissors and features longer resealing tape for better sealing. Paulig’s goal is to have all packaging recyclable by the end of 2025. The launch of recyclable vacuum packaging will help achieve Paulig’s sustainability goals, as most coffees are sold in vacuum packaging. The new Paulig recyclable vacuum packaging will be available in Finland and Estonia from this spring onwards on a few of Paulig’s products, such as Paulig Mundo Original and Paulig Café New York. The packaging is recognizable by its white inside and can still be sorted for plastic collection. Recyclable packaging supports the circular economy by enabling packaging to be turned into new products or materials.
