A Popular South Korean Coffee Shop Is Opening Its First U.S. Location in Los Angeles
Camel Coffee, a South Korean cafe chain, is set to open its first US location in Silver Lake, California. The 2,000-square-foot space will seat around 30 patrons across two floors and an outdoor patio. The chain focuses on superior interior design, collaborations, and amazing coffee. The new store will be owned by Camel’s wife, Alice Kim. The couple met Camel’s founder, Kanghyun Park, through a partnership in 2020 and began working on opening the US location in 2022. The 2,000-square-foot Silver Lake space will also serve Camel’s signature Camel Coffee, milk tea, and misugaru, along with standard pastries like croissants and a specialty called “le tigre” made with hazelnut butter and caramelized sugar.
