Honduras Reports A Soaring 85% Increase In Coffee Sales – CoffeeTalk
Honduran coffee exports for the 2024-2025 harvest generated $1.878 billion in revenue, according to Ihcafe data. The Honduran Coffee Institute reported an 85% increase in coffee sales between October 2024 and June 2025, equal to $1.13 billion in the 2023-2024 cycle. The export volume also increased by 3.0%, reaching 5.27 million bags, compared to 5.12 million in the previous year. Sales contracts totaled 5.95 million quintals, a 5.0% increase from 5.68 million in the previous season. Honduran coffee contributes over 3% to the global GDP and 30% of the agricultural GDP. The coffee season in Honduran coffee is from October 1 to September 30. The main destinations for Honduran coffee are the United States, Germany, and Belgium, representing 58.9% of total exports.
