Reef Saudi, the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, has completed a pilot trial for small-scale coffee peeling equipment. The machines, which can peel up to 50 kilograms of coffee beans per hour, will be made available in local markets to enhance coffee production and improve product marketing. The machines will be affordable, not exceeding $1,066 USD, making them accessible to small-scale farmers. Reef Saudi is committed to developing the coffee sector by providing direct support to small farmers and local producers, as well as implementing strategic projects to boost food security and increase economic returns for those working in the sector.
