Introducing a Compostable Coffee Capsule Solution

Greiner Packaging and Constantia Flexibles have partnered to introduce a fully home compostable coffee capsule solution. Greiner Packaging supplies the capsule body, while Constantia Flexibles provides the EcoPressoLid lid. This innovative product offers consumers a sustainable option without compromising on quality or convenience, supporting a circular economy by reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact. The capsule body, developed by Greiner Packaging, preserves the freshness of coffee and is compatible with conventional coffee capsule machines.

Constantia Flexibles’ capsule lidding, EcoPressoLid, offers a high barrier to oxygen, excellent sealing for compostable coffee capsules, and exceptional coffee brewing performance. It is paper-based and can seal both the top and bottom of the capsules. The capsule body and lid received the “OK Compost Home” certification from TÜV Austria together as a system.
