Ensuring Coffee's Future – CoffeeTalk

Nespresso’s AAA Program, launched over a decade ago with the Rainforest Alliance, aims to build a coffee industry that supports farming communities and builds healthy soils. Agronomists work with farmers in coffee-producing regions worldwide to gain their trust and offer training and resources to improve yields and reduce soil erosion. Farmers teach agronomists about their region’s wildlife and cover crops, fostering a value exchange and learning from them.

Climate change is affecting coffee production, with coffee growing further up mountainpeaks, reducing farmland. This poses a threat to coffee production, as there is no other way to grow it today. Nespresso is also expanding coffee farming through its Reviving Origins Program, which identifies areas ideal for production but not being grown due to natural disasters or political conflict. The program focuses on solving foundational issues, investing in infrastructure, and rebuilding farms to protect the future of coffee and ensure the world can continue experiencing it even in the face of future hurricanes.
