Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea Sends Team To Honduras For Immersive Immersive Coffee And Community Service Experience – CoffeeTalk
Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea has sent its cuppers to Honduras for an immersive experience in coffee farming and community service. The company has maintained direct relationships with small-plot coffee farmers since 2011, through its Friend2Farmer® initiatives, which provide resources to improve coffee quality and the quality of life for farmers and their communities. The cuppers toured a coffee farm to observe the picking and processing stages that shape Crimson Cup’s beans, met with farmers, shared meals, and experienced the care and expertise behind every harvest. They also participated in community service with Serve Hope International, a nonprofit that supports coffee-growing communities through clean water, housing, and education. The trip was about connection and community, as working alongside the farmers gained deeper insight into their growing processes and community challenges. Crimson Cup has contributed to community-focused projects in Siguatepeque since 2011, including raised drying beds for improved coffee quality, safe housing for families, filtration buckets for clean water, and educational resources for local schools. The company has also sponsored service-learning trips for coffee shop owners and local college students to deepen understanding of smallholder coffee systems.
