Caribou Coffee Aims To Add Hundreds Of Stores – CoffeeTalk
Caribou Coffee, a Brooklyn-based coffeehouse chain, is partnering with Minneapolis-based strategic creative agency Latitude to expand its 800 shops worldwide. Caribou, owned by Luxembourg-based JAB Holding, is already expanding in new markets such as Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and Georgia. The company is particularly interested in growing in Charlotte, North Carolina; Tampa, Florida; and Atlanta. The Latitude partnership aims to build the brand and meet customers where they are, with more brand-growth efforts set to begin in 2025.
The growth plan comes just months after Caribou’s owner announced plans to sell the chain. Last year, Caribou announced plans to add hundreds of new franchise locations and consider company-driven growth, such as opening kiosks in grocery stores. The push to expand is driven by the growth in the coffee category, with the coffee market estimated at $28.06 billion this year and forecasted to reach $33.64 billion by 2029.
Caribou and Latitude have strong synergy, with both having committed, passionate teams doing groundbreaking work. Latitude will develop a refreshed brand framework for Caribou, including supporting seasonal and brand campaigns and brainstorming creative efforts in existing and new markets.
