CHECK IN AND SMELL THE COFFEE: Air New Zealand Takes Coffee Service Sky-High With ‘Fly Thru’ Coffee Stop – CoffeeTalk

Air New Zealand has taken its love of coffee to new heights serving its new bespoke blend, Carry On, straight through the flight deck window at Queenstown Airport in a world-first Moment.

The airline teamed up with Kiwi roasters Coffee Supreme to deliver the perfect pour directly through the window of the A320 jet, proving just how far the two brands will go to deliver great coffee.

To celebrate the launch of the new blend, Air New Zealand has created a special Fly Thru coffee experience. Customers on flight NZ0600 from Queenstown to Wellington today can pick up a personalised bag of Carry On to take home – coffee that quite literally has your name on it – and be in to win Coffee Supreme merchandise.

Not on the flight? No worries, just swing by the airport between 12.30pm and 2.30pm to join the fun.

Air New Zealand Chief Customer and Digital Officer Jeremy O’Brien says the airline is always looking for ways to elevate its service and is proud to be supporting a local business.

“There are few things that say ‘New Zealand’ quite like a great cup of coffee. Partnering with Coffee Supreme means we’re not just serving coffee onboard – we’re offering the very best of New Zealand to our customers.

“Air New Zealand has a unique opportunity to showcase New Zealand products and brands wherever we fly around the world. It’s a privilege to back a local business that shares our passion for quality, care and innovation, and together we’re proudly pouring a taste of home for our customers around the globe.”

Coffee Supreme CEO Andrew Low adds, “We’ve spent three decades chasing better coffee on the ground, now we’re chasing it at altitude. We’re proud as punch to be partnering with Air New Zealand so travellers can enjoy the same care and quality we pour into every cup at 30,000 feet as they do today at their local cafe or at home.”

Roasted to taste just as good in the air as it does on the ground, Carry On takes New Zealand’s iconic coffee culture sky-high. With notes of dark chocolate, malt biscuit and maple, it’s smooth, full-bodied, and designed to hold its own long after take-off.

Coffee Supreme will be served in Air New Zealand lounges across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands and onboard in premium cabins from the end of October, before landing in economy and across the domestic network in November.
