Piazza D'Oro celebrating cafés' canine customers – BeanScene

On 26 August, Sydney roaster Piazza D’Oro will celebrate Australian cafés’ other much-loved customer: dogs.

The roaster is inviting customers and their canine companions to mark International Dog Day. On 26 August, anyone who follows Piazza D’Oro on Instagram will receive a free dog biscuit and branded dog bandana from participating cafés.

Part of the brand’s ongoing marketing support for its café partners, the promotion will take place at 50 venues across Australia for one day only.

Many cafés across the country serve man’s best friend, with doggy biscuits and ice creams a common menu item. Earlier this year, the link between the café scene and the rising tide of dog ownership was highlighted when a Sydney venue launched what it believes to be the first café rave for dogs.

Originally established in 1991, Piazza D’oro was relaunched in 2022 with a new look. From the warm terracotta palette to the abstract artwork, the design is said to signify the brand’s harmony of European heritage and contemporary Australian café culture.
