Allpress Espresso and HARIO to host ANZ V60 Championship – BeanScene

New Zealand roaster Allpress Espresso and equipment specialist HARIO are once again teaming up to host the 2025 V60 Championship.

Following 2024’s sell-out event in New Zealand, this year the competition is expanding to include regional heats in Auckland, Christchurch, Brisbane, and Sydney. The regional winners will be awarded flights and accomodation for the ANZ final in Melbourne on 31 July, plus a $500 Eftpos gift card and a Mazzer grinder courtesy of Coffee Works Express.

At the ANZ final, the regional winners will battle it out to win a flight to Tokyo and a spot in the HARIO V60 Brewers Cup in September where they’ll take on nine other international finalists.

In the ANZ regional heats, competitors will brew using a micro-lot coffee chosen by the Allpress team. The origin will remain secret until the final to test the precision, creativity, and technique of the competitors.

The competition is open to everyone – from pro baristas to passionate home brewers. Alongside the trip to Japan, winners will receive prizes from event partners including HARIO, Acme Cups, C4 Roasters, Cafe Imports, Oatly, Coffee Works Express, and Third Wave Water.

The regional heats will take place on the following dates:

• Christchurch – 3 July
• Brisbane – 3 July
• Auckland – 10 July
• Sydney – 17 July
