Upshur County Library Hopes to Brew Up Excitement With New Coffee Bar, Festive Programs
Keyth Sokol, the assistant director of the Upshur County Public Library, has introduced a free coffee bar to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The initiative, supported by Mountain Roaster Coffee, has seen increased program traffic and has attracted people who didn’t like coffee. Sokol also plans to host a hands-on ornament decorating event for the Dec. 2 Dickens Festival, targeting children aged 18 and under. The library also offers free access to state databases for tutoring and educational resources to patrons. The initiative aims to dispel the misconception that the library appears nondescript from the outside.
