0 21

Scooter’s Coffee, a fast-growing franchise system in the U.S., has appointed Joe Thornton as CEO effective Jan. 1, 2024. Thornton, who currently serves as the company’s president, will succeed Todd Graeve, who will retire after nearly two decades in the business. Thornton has 40 years of experience in large-scale operations, strategy, and human resources at prominent industry-leading companies, including HMSHost, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, and Blockbuster. The remainder of 2023 will serve as a transitional period for Thornton and Graeve. The co-founders recognize the incredible impact Todd Graeve had on the company and appreciate the path built over the last 25 years. Graeve joined Scooter’s Coffee in 2005 as a franchisee and developer, and served as CFO for eight years before transitioning to CEO in April 2016.
