New Harvest Coffee Roasters is set to host a premiere party for their short documentary film “Los Portillos” on Friday, November 15. The film, created in partnership with Rhode Island-based photography/videography studio Apparition, tells the story of Honduran coffee farmer Adolfo Reyes and his coffee farm, Los Portillos. The film was created in partnership with Apparition and tells the story of Adolfo’s coffee farm, which was the first individual farm New Harvest began working with in 2009. The company works with Adolfo on a’micro-lot’ model, sourcing coffee directly from his farm, ensuring high-quality coffee and fair pay for the team. The film’s running time is just under seven minutes, and the screening is free and open to all. The opportunity to travel to Honduras with New Harvest Coffee Roasters was a dream realized, as it allowed them to experience first-hand the authentic relationship between New Harvest and the farmers they partner with.
