How Tariffs Are Already Beginning To Impact Local Coffee Houses – CoffeeTalk

Colorado Craft Coffee and Beer House, a local coffee and beer business, is expecting less impact from tariffs than larger corporations that buy outsourced products. The business only buys directly sourced products from Colorado, and the owner, James Ferguson, believes that shopping local saves people money and supports the community.

The business may see price increases from vendors, but they are not planning to raise their product prices anytime soon. They aim to make their products affordable for everyone, including senior citizens, college students, everyday workers, families, and everyone in between. Beer prices have recently gone up due to the rising cost of aluminum, with vendors spreading the cost among all their products.

As a small business, the margins are tight, but the business understands the world’s workings and buys only local Colorado products. The price of coffee beans has also surged since they are imported to America, but Colorado Craft Coffee and Beer House has not seen an increase from their suppliers.

Despite the negatives, Colorado Craft Coffee and Beer House is focusing on the positives, hoping that more people will be inspired to shop local and meet new community members. They hope that some people who might not have seen them would have given them a look had it not happened, and they will take advantage of the opportunity to build new relationships with their community.
