“The Whirlie Cafe” is a coffee shop run by exceptional children (EC) students at Grimsley, aiming to provide real-life work experience to prepare them for employment after graduation. The adaptive curriculum teacher, Jessica Fancourt, believes that the shop helps students develop conversational skills, social skills, and personal space, which are essential in the workplace, preparing them for various aspects of life beyond classrooms.
