Coffee Prices Rally Sharply On Forecasts For Heavy Rain In Brazil

Coffee prices Friday rallied sharply, with arabica posting a 3-3/4 month high and robusta posting a 2-week high.  Coffee prices surged as recent heavy rain and forecasts for additional rain next week in Minas Gerais, Brazil’s largest arabica growing region, will keep farmers out of fields and delay the application of fertilizers and pesticides.
