MEDFORD, Oregon, 1 November 2022 /PRNewswire/ Coffee for a Cure, The Human Bean’s 17th annual breast cancer fundraiser, was held on Friday, October 21. Local breast cancer foundations received a record-breaking $435,305.66 from the sales of all food and beverages at The Human Bean locations across the United States.

This is the largest nationwide fundraiser held by the drive-thru coffee company each year, held annually in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Our Coffee for a Cure event is much more than a cup of coffee and a friendly chat with our customers,” says Aly Koehnke, co-owner of four locations in the Portland, Oregon area that raised $15,757.67 collectively on Friday. “This day is always accompanied by a few tears, a few smiles, and some truly incredible tales. Coffee for a Cure provides our communities with hope, strength, and awareness.”

The Human Bean’s Coffee for a Cure program has raised more than $3 million to date. On the 21st of October, the Human Bean locations will donate 100 percent of their food and beverage sales to foundations in their communities that provide breast cancer screenings, education, and patient support.

The Human Bean drive-thrus promoted two new specialty drinks for the occasion: Vanilla Cold Brew with Cherry Blossom Cold Foam and Shortbread Latte with Cinnamon Sprinkles. Both of these drinks are still available to anyone who discovered their new favorite flavors on that day.

“Coffee For A Cure is our favorite day and we look forward to it every year,” says Alissa Trotter, owner of a Warrenton, OR location that raised $4,800 last Friday. “It’s incredible to feel the energy and enthusiasm of our customers, community, and team as they collaborate for a greater cause. We appreciate that the funds remain within the communities we serve.”
