The Melbourne International Coffee Expo returns after three years

The Melbourne International Coffee Expo is set to return with a bang in 2022, following three years of postponements and cancellations due to COVID-19.

The Melbourne International Coffee Expo will return in 2022 for the first time in three years, owing to the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

From September 27 to 30, Victoria’s capital city will once again host some of the world’s premier coffee companies and manufacturers.

A who’s who of exhibitors have already committed to the expo, and organisers are now inviting additional exhibitors to join the ranks. With only about 20 stands remaining, time is running out to be a part of one of the world’s most significant coffee events.

MICE is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest dedicated coffee show.

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is packed with over 200 exhibitors showcasing speciality coffee, equipment and roasting manufacturers, packaging manufacturers, and equipment technology, as well as showcasing the world’s leading coffee trends.

In 2020, exhibition stands sold out months in advance of the expo, and organisers anticipate a similar demand in 2022.

“MICE was founded in 2012 with the goal of uniting the global coffee community, and this world-class expo has accomplished that goal,” said MICE Show Director Lauren Winterbottom.

Satake, the company that invented the first two-color sorting machine for green coffee beans, will also exhibit at the 2022 Melbourne International Coffee Expo.

Among the other exhibitors scheduled for the event is Opem, a company that specialises in coffee packaging, including pods. AF Systems and Flavourtech, a leader in aroma recovery, extraction, and evaporation.

ADM Packaging, a manufacturer of domestic packaging materials, and BWT Water, a leader in water treatment research, have also committed to the expo.

Additionally, ICA Spa, a manufacturer of packaging machinery such as pouches and vacuum packs, will be exhibiting at the expo.

Pentair, a company that provides water treatment solutions for the coffee industry, has also committed to exhibit at the expo, demonstrating MICE’s commitment to highlighting all sectors of the industry.

This is just a sampling of the extensive list of exhibitors already confirmed for MICE 2022, but spaces remain available, and organisers are encouraging others in the coffee industry to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their work.

De’Longhi, AMC Roastery Supply, distributors of Diedrich Roasters and packaging automation machine manufacturer Actionpac, and Australian Beverage Corporation, distributors of original equipment manufacturers WMF, Dalla Corte, and Mahlkonig, are already among the exhibitors.

Exhibiting at MICE is an excellent way to introduce a brand to thousands of qualified experts, as the expo attracts over 11,000 attendees each year, ranging from café owners and roasters to equipment manufacturers and service providers.

Melbourne Coffee Week, which runs concurrently with the expo from September 24 to October 1, will help spread the coffee vibe throughout the city.
