Coffee With a Cause donates to schools

The Fremont Public Schools Foundation is pleased to accept two donations on behalf of The Hub at Fremont High School and Urban Tiger at Fremont Middle School from the local group Coffee With a Cause.

$1,375 will be awarded to The Hub, while $1,360 will be awarded to Urban Tiger.

“Coffee with a Cause was formed to benefit local children in Fremont and to support the Fremont Public School system. We are able to support students through Urban Tiger and The Hub with this donation by providing donated supplies and monetary donations for additional supplies that are needed,” said Sue Wilcoxson, committee member for Coffee With a Cause.

In 2020, the Hub will open at Fremont High School. Students can visit to purchase clothing, school supplies, personal hygiene products, and food. Shayla Linn, a social worker at Fremont High School, assists students and families in locating additional community resources.

“Because many students use the hub for breakfast, this donation will significantly help us stock up for the upcoming semester,” Linn said.
