CafeSmart 2023 raises over $100,000 to date

CafeSmart 2023 has currently raised $104,476 to support Australians affected by homelessness. The annual event, organised by not-profit StreetSmart Australia, is still collecting donations and watching the tally rise each day.

CafeSmart kicked off its 2023 campaign from 1 to 7 August as part of Homelessness Week 2023. This year, CafeSmart had support from more than 700 cafes, 44 coffee roasters, hundreds of thousands of coffee lovers and sponsors and media partners to help make this national coffee-led event a success.

One dollar from every coffee sold on Friday 4 August went towards CafeSmart. The money raised will stay local and support grassroot homelessness resources, such as medical care, food, employment training and housing.

Every donation to CafeSmart helps to provide emergency accommodation for rough sleepers, food and groceries for a young parent and children at risk, and medical help and support for at-risk people.
