After canceling the Amsterdam Coffee Festival in person the past two years, Allegra Events is finally bringing it back to Western Europe with loads of fun activities planned for the return.
The three-day event will bring together the best of Europe’s bustling coffee scene. This year, it takes place March 31-April 2 at Westergas, with day one being for industry members, and continuing with loads of insightful sessions for everyone later on.
Visitors can expect to enjoy great coffee, gourmet food stalls, live music, art exhibitions, and plenty of demonstrations from world-class baristas. The event is also expected to attract more than 125,000 visitors, making it the perfect place to connect and network with industry professionals.
The Amsterdam Coffee Festival brings together countless vendors such as Oatly, La Cimbali, La Marzocco, and Monin, which will be showcasing their latest products and technologies. Attendees can also participate in interactive workshops, taste unique coffee cocktails, and experience the best of Dutch street food.
What to Expect at Amsterdam Coffee Festival 2022
The Amsterdam Coffee Festival is packed with competitions, immersive experiences, and coffee-centric exhibitors. Here are a few of the highlights to expect:
SCA Netherlands Championships
Once again, the Amsterdam Coffee Festival will host four coffee competitions in collaboration with the SCA’s Dutch Chapter: Barista Championship, Brewers Cup Championship, Latte Art Championship, and Cup Tasters Championship. Competitors are ready to impress the judges for a chance to represent the Netherlands at the world championships.
The Mindful Coffee Tasting Experience
This year Keen Coffee, Faema, and Just Breathe will join forces to bring back the Mindful Coffee Tasting Experience: an immersive, multi-sensory experience focused on meditative coffee tasting.
The 45-minute coffee tasting experience will be guided by a meditation expert from Just Breathe. Participants will focus on brewing and tasting filter coffee while being mindful of their thoughts, feelings, and sensations in the body. All of this will take place with the help of Keen Coffee Roasters and the new Faemina machine!
On the Show Floor
The show floor will be packed with exhibitors, from coffee roasters and brewers to equipment manufacturers and distributors. Here is a preview of what you can expect:
Latte Art Live: This event is a showcase for milk specialists and baristas to show off their skills through interactive workshops, masterclasses, and throwdowns. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops and learn essential tips and tricks.
True Artisan Café: An original creation by La Marzocco, True Artisan Café is a stand where roasters come and brew coffee for the public. It offers diverse coffee experiences and the chance for visitors to connect with baristas and roasters.
The Innovation Club: A space dedicated to creativity and innovation, where you can connect with Dutch barista champions and have hands-on experience with industry’s latest technology.
Finally, if you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy a coffee cocktail or mocktail, you can head to the Fields Bar. So whether you’re a coffee lover, industry professional, or just looking for a fun day out, the Amsterdam Coffee Festival is sure to have something for you.
Tickets are available now, so be sure to check out the event!
